i know- i know

its been a while in between posts. I'm a busy lady. Maizy and I are celebrating first-day-of-spring-eve by deciding its not too cold for her to start hanging out on the breezeway during the day again. It is however a little nippy so I give her lots of blankets and an electric heater. She has been in the family room in the basement for the winter. But lately has been showing obvious signs of being bored with her accomodations in the ways of ripping apart laundry and my floral supplies. For her own safety (from ME- I almost killed her after she chewed up one end of an entire bolt of NICE tulle, GRRR!) she has been in her crate during the day the last week. She is crate trained and rather likes HER space, but its not good for her to be there alot so its back to the breezeway.

In case you are wondering she is a Lab/Pit. We adopted her 2 years ago Next week. We were told she was a Lab-cross. As she matured its quite obvious she is part pit- I am from a family who loves big dogs, so I have no issues with it. But I am sorry to say too many people have stereotyped a wonderful breed based on the performance of a few. People seem to be forgetting that the few who fight and are aggressive, are that way b/c they are a highly trainable and loyal breed. PEOPLE trained them to be that way. I hate breed profiling. I love my Pit-Lab.

I am soooo looking forward to spending days on the breezeway again.

I have been busy planning my new etsy shop and as soon as its up and running I will post a link. Other than that just trying to keep myself occupied while counting down the days til starting seeds indoors

she would love Napoleon- he is so handsome! He's definitely invited too y'know. And when you finally take my advice and buy that house across the street, they can play in our field and woods out back all the time. You need to post a pic on your blog of him.
