yesterday. (sorry- camera was on the wrong setting)
today.
Yes indeed those are the same crocuses. I am so OVER the snow already. I am a fiend for gardening and this is just ruining my whole being right now. I WANT to rake the dead icky leaves out and prep the soil for my BIGGER garden this year. But I would like to get this done before JUNE! But you'll notice my dear little crocuses have quite a bit of will despite the weather. The purple ones were not there yesterday and they came up thru the snow as if to say "Outta our way - ITS SPRING!"
At least they are glimmers of hope. Also hopeful- another birdie has seen fit to rear her babies on my wreth again this year. Last year it was a little later as I recall they all left the nest on independence day. I had hoped to make some changes to my wreath in recognition of spring, but I will leave it be since I dont want to discourage the mama bird. Here is a shot of her progress so far.
(BTW-Ill have to ask you to bear with me as I learn the tricks to sizing and getting pictures to where I want them to be on here. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!)
Here are a couple pics of the Bell trying to beat her cabin fever. She will be so disappointed to have to wear her snow boots rather than her rain boots today.
I hope to get going on my seed-starting today. But at the very least have it finished over the weekend. Maybe that will improve this overall winter funk I have been sporting.
more later...
